About

Fluffy Crimes is a Chicago based art exhibition space and curatorial project. For its first year of programming, Fluffy Crimes was situated in the living space (condominium) of artist, Marc Benja, and his partner, Victor Valladares. For the first birthday exhibition, we featured 48 artists and zine/book makers in two studios located at the MANA Contemporary facility in Chicago.

Visual artists do more than paint, draw, print, sew, sculpt, photograph, record and weave. In addition to creating, they often must market themselves, network, and gain exposure on their own. Each of these tasks can be a full time job.

The goal of Fluffy Crimes is to provide artists with exposure and a gallery opportunity. It is also an opportunity for artists, art enthusiasts and art collectors to meet new artists, learn about new artists and their practice, and discover new artwork. As much as possible, Fluffy Crimes aims to feature artists from varied backgrounds around the world.

Fluffy Crimes does not take monies from artists for the sale of exhibited artworks. Purchasing artworks from artists helps them survive as well as further their art practice. Please consider purchasing all of your artwork, for collecting purposes and/or decor, from working artists.
